Delete your account and data

You can delete your Quick Speaking account and the data associated with it at any time, directly in the app. This page explains the steps, the 30-day recovery window, what is deleted and what is retained for how long, and how to request deletion if you can no longer access the app.
1. Delete your account in the app
The fastest way is directly in the Quick Speaking app:
- Open the Quick Speaking app and sign in
- Tap the My Page tab
- Select Delete account
- Confirm to complete. Your account is deactivated immediately: you are signed out, your league position is withdrawn, and push notifications stop.
2. The 30-day recovery window
If you change your mind, sign back in with the same Apple or Google account within 30 days and your account — including all progress, streak, and league history — is restored in full. After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and cannot be undone.
3. Data that is permanently deleted
Once the 30-day window passes, we permanently delete your profile (nickname, avatar, settings), lesson progress, per-sentence grading results, streak records, league history, and subscription records. There are no voice recordings or transcripts to delete — your audio is graded on your device and never reaches our servers in the first place.
4. Data that is retained and for how long
A small amount of data is kept for a limited period as required by law:
- Consent records (consent type, version, timestamp, IP address, user agent) are retained for 5 years from the permanent-deletion date, per Korean general practice and Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 91/2025)
- Database backups expire on their own within 30 days

5. Your subscription
When you request deletion, we notify our billing provider and auto-renewal is cancelled. We still recommend confirming the cancellation in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Any remaining paid time can only be used by restoring your account within the 30-day window.
6. If you can no longer access the app
If you cannot sign in to delete your account in the app, email support@quick-speaking.com with the subject "Account deletion request", sent from the email address associated with the Apple or Google account you signed up with. We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days.
